After its destruction by fire in 1965, the course and history of La Boule d'Or are resurrected before its last actors leave. Last European Concert Café, La Boule d'Or, was an emblematic place for the nightlife of Chaux-de-Fonnière. A veritable receptacle for all social strata of the city who came to enjoy themselves and attend various shows, perceived as a place of debauchery by the guardians of a certain moral and church people, La Boule d'Or left indelible traces in the minds of the inhabitants of La Chaux-de-Fonds. Yet, no precise historical research seems to exist. Only the memories, sometimes scattered, of the witnesses persist. Through this magnificent and tragic epic, it is a little-known part of the social, economic and architectural history of La Chaux-de-Fonds that is told. It is still an incursion into an artistic universe that left no one indifferent and that will surprise those who did not know it yet.
